A research-action was carried out in 2015 and 2016 by the Regional Chamber of the Social and Solidarity Economy (CRESS) of Franche-Comté, accompanied by public partners, scientific and from the field of support, with the aim of better understand the dynamics of the creation of SSE enterprises in the regions, identified by the criterion of employment. In the last few lustrums, the literature has searched for more precise methods to assess the socio-economic importance of the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE). On that basis, this article offers a new way of assessing the SSE impact, enhancing the understanding of the SSE potential for socio-economic transformation. The United Nations Agenda 2030 has recognized that Social Economy (SE) entities play an important role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
